On December 28, 2024, the award ceremony for the winners and finalists of the Sozonov Award took place.
The recognition of the Sozonov Prize laureates, organised by the Chess for Children Foundation, was held online. Participants represented various regions of Ukraine, demonstrating how chess unites youth from all corners of the country.

The winners, Taras Rudenko and Roman Dehtiarov, along with prize winners Svitlana Russeva, Solomiia Svitenko, Vasyl Lyakh, and Evelina Trofimova, had the opportunity to share their stories, achievements, hobbies and plans both in chess and other spheres with the Sozonov Award founder Olena Boytsun. The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere of sincere communication.
During the ceremony, Olena Boytsun emphasised the importance of all-round development and high-quality education for children as the key to uncovering their potential in life. She also highlighted the significant contributions made by chess coaches and parents towards development growth of children.
Each participant demonstrated his or her unique journey and achievements that inspire and show the multifaceted talents of young chess players.
