Chess for Children Foundation begins accepting applications for the competition for the Award named after Evgeniy Sozonov for 2023. The Sozonov Award is provided in two age categories: from 10 to 13 years and from 14 to 16 years.
The size of the Award is:
- The winner in the age category from 10 to 13 years – 16000 hryvnias
- The winner in the age category from 14 to 16 years – 16000 hryvnias
- Two runners-up in the age category from 10 to 13 years – 3000 hryvnias each
- Two runners-up in the age category from 14 to 16 years – 3000 hryvnias each

Award named after Evgeniy Sozonov is a private national annual award. It was established by Olena Boytsun in 2013 with the aim of supporting talented children aged between 10 to 16 years old, who show good results in both chess and school studies. In 2023 the Award is being presented for the ninth time.
We invite all those interested to participate in the competition. Applications are accepted until 10:00 on December 10, 2023.
Winners of the 2023 Award will be announced by 12:00 p.m. on December 14, 2023 by publishing the results on our website ChessforChildren.org and in the media.
