During February-March 2024 the Chess For Children foundation organised a series of online meetings of winners and prize-winners of the Sozonov Award for 2021-2023.
The founder of the foundation, Olena Boytsun, conducted more than 20 interviews with talented young chess players, who talked about themselves, their dreams, chess and school, literary and musical preferences etc.
On February 4, 2024, the boys and girls who received the Prize for 2023 met: Lyudmila Ivanytska, who won in the 14-16 y.o. category, and prize winners Mykhail Alekseenko, Yana Marusyn, Artyom Andrienko, Roman Degtyarev.
On February 18, 2024, an event was organized for the winners and prize-winners for 2022. The co-winner in the 14-16 y.o. category Andriy Palchuk and the prize-winners Murad Babaev, Maryna Petrenko, Darya Bondar, Valentin Gulka, Vladyslav Strelkin were present.
On March 3, 2024, the chess players who were honored for 2021 met: Teymur Toktomushev, the winner in the 10-13 years category, Vladyslava Korolchuk, Oleksiy Karvatskyi, Vadym Petrovskyi. In addition, some participants, who for certain reasons could not attend the previous meetings, joined: Jan Dyomin (winner in the 10-13 y.o. category for 2023), Valentin Prokofiev (co-winner in the 14-16 y.o. category for 2022) and Mykhailo Lemeshenko (prize winner for 2022). Some additional interviews were conducted as well.
During the meetings the founder of the Sozonov Award WIM Olena Boytsun emphasised the importance of obtaining a good education, which is one of the key factors in the personal development.
